In Western society, Generation X is a term that refers to people born in the 1960s, 70s, and early 80s. Members of this generation grew up with more freedom and independence than their parents. They are also sometimes called the MTV generation, because they grew up watching music videos on TV. Studies show that members of Generation X are usually happy and active in their adult life.

Members of Generation Y are those who were born in the late 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Generally speaking, they are confident and open-minded people. On the other hand, they are the first generation to grow up with advanced technology like smartphones, and they tend to focus more on themselves. Members of this generation are also getting married later and less likely to have children.

The newest generation is now called Generation Z. They are still too young for us to say much about them. But we already know that they are using technology and social media at an even younger age, so it remains to be seen what effect this will have on them.
